EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES New Jersey's rockin' blues band The 6-piece EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES is a rockin' blues band for people of all ages. A danceable groove, innovative dynamics and a love for the blues create the band's original, raw energy. Two drummers deliver a hard-hitting beat. EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES performs both original blues and blues classics done our way, drawing largely from the Chicago style infused with rock and touches of Latin, jazz and funk. EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES performs in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut Tri - State area. The Band Lance "the Rockin' Bluesman" Casper: lead & back-up vocals, lead, rhythm & slide guitar, blues harp. Lance’s early self-training on toy accordion at 9 and acoustic Stella at 11 started him on the road to EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES. As a late teen, he played lead guitar for the party band, The Elations, and later, the bluesy, underground Hudson Tubes. In his 20s, Lance played lead and rhythm guitar for The Eighth Day, a cover band with a style so distinct that Joey Dee of Peppermint Twist fame set them up with producer John Lombardo to record with Polydor. Lance started EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES in 2005. Lance's store and studio, Old Man Music, is now online. Check out Old Man Music here. Bobby Clemens : bass, lead & back-up vocals. Bobby started playing bass as a teenager and was influenced by blues legends Johnny Winter, The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Over the years he has played with all kinds of bands including two of his own ventures: The Russell Clemens Band, a country band and The Tyler Hayes Band, a classic rock band. He still jams with Trixx, a band of friends from his hometown and fills in with The Robb Taylor Band. Bobby also enjoys playing acoustic guitar, banjo and harp. Mark Egan: drums, lead & back-up vocals . Born in West Paterson, NJ, Mark began playing drums and taking lessons at 6. After high school he joined the celebrated Hawthorne Cabalerros Drum & Bugle Corp for five years. He went on to playing the Atlantic City lounge circuit with Essence, a trio, for six years, then switched to rock with different bands including the heavy metal band, Detonator, and recently joining EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES. Influences: Carl Palmer, Charlie Watts Mary Jasch: keyboards, back-up vocals. Mary taught herself keyboard in order to accompany Lance when he practiced guitar. A year later she joined the band. She studied with pianist/organist John Barratta. Mary's heroes: Ray Manzarek, Mark Naftalin, Bruce Katz, Kitty Kat, Lucinda Williams. Mary publishes DIG IT! magazine. Glen Juengling: rhythm & lead guitar, lead & back-up vocals. Glen began playing guitar and bass in ’73 and has played with many rock bands around New Jersey and the Shore since then. He has played bass with The Agents, a classic rock band, for 28 years and 2-Jo(h)nsGlen, an Irish trio, for four years, and now guitar for EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES. Glen also plays mandolin, violin and banjo. Don "Train Wreck" Sandberg: drums. Since age 10, Don played in high school marching bands, Drum & Bugle Corps and garage bands in California, then on to Memphis playing in Country, Rock and Blues bands. Finally in Jersey, Don has played in cover bands until he joined EIGHT DAYS OF BLUES two years ago.
